While you’re exploring GuitarTown, make sure to stop into Club 400 — a historic part of Waukesha’s music legacy and one of the original locations connected to Les Paul’s story.
Originally established in 1894, Club 400 became a nightclub in 1948 when George and Ralph Polsfuss — Les Paul’s father and brother — opened the venue after major renovations. Named after the Chicago Northwestern Locomotive #400, the club welcomed Les Paul himself for performances during the 1940s and 1950s and has continued supporting live music ever since.
Today, Club 400 proudly continues that tradition by hosting live entertainment, supporting local musicians, and preserving a unique piece of Waukesha music history. Whether you’re attending GuitarTown for the music, the history, or the atmosphere, we invite you to stop by and experience one of the city’s legendary music landmarks for yourself.
🎶 And when the festival wraps up, keep the night going at Club 400! We’ll be open after the event, so stop in for drinks, music, and to continue celebrating Waukesha’s incredible music scene.
